Introducing the Bartholomew County Affordable Care Act Navigators

NavigatorWith the Affordable Care Act now in full affect, millions of Americans have access to quality affordable health care for the first time in their lives, and many more will have the opportunity to shop for a plan that best fits their needs and a premium that fits their budget.  But if this is your first time selecting your own insurance plan, the process can be a daunting one.  How exactly does a deductible work, and what's a a co-payment?  How do I know if my provider is "in-network?" This is where the Affordable Care Act Navigators come in.

Six local organizations are hosting certified Marketplace Navigators - local volunteers who have been specially trained to help answer all your questions as you select a healthcare plan on the exchange.  If you'd like to speak with one of these Navigators, just call 800-669-1621 and you can schedule an appointment at the Bartholomew County Library, Eastside Community Center, Mill Race Center, Lincoln Central Neighborhood Center, or Love Chapel.

The schedulers at this number are not prepared to answer questions about the Affordable Care Act, but they will set up an appointment with a certified Navigator who is ready to help!
